Mark’s furniture mixes modern design with old-fashioned quality craftsmanship. We first met Mark at the Celebration of Craftsmanship & Design in Cheltenham in 2001 where we saw and commissioned a pair of elegant wenge side tables with exquisite boxwood detailing. At the time we lived in a period property but the tables blended in beautifully. Nine years on we have moved to an ultra-modern style house and therefore most of our furniture went to auction before we moved. But not the wenge tables! They look equally at home in our new contemporary setting. This year at CCD Mark was showing a simple but dramatic side table comprising an oak top and angled American black walnut legs. This was exactly the statement piece that we were looking for to hold an antique dolls house, but it needed to be taller and have a larger surface area.
